Cotopaxi Volcano is one of the most beatifull sites one can visit in Ecuador. Hike to the top or to just the refuge, either way you will get a fantastic view of the surrounding valleys. Cotopaxi in Quichua means "neck of moon." It is a volcano of altitude 5897 mts. above sea level. This national park was created in 1979 and has 75 000 hectares.

Departure: Every day at 08:00
Duration: 8 hours

• Tour leaves from Quito and crosses los Chillos valley
• After we arrive at the control point we visit the Cotopaxi museum and Limpiopungo Lake (3800 mts)
• We then continue to the parking lot of Cotopaxi (4500 mts)
• Then, if you want, we can trek up to the refuge (4800 mts)
• Box lunch and return to Quito

Departure: Every day

Day 1
• Tour leaves from Quito and crosses los Chillos valley
• After we arrive at the control point we visit the Cotopaxi museum and Limpiopungo Lake (3800 mts)
• We then continue to the parking lot of Cotopaxi (4500 mts)
• Then, if you want, we can trek up to the refuge (4800 mts)
• Box lunch and dinner and lodging at an old farm "la Cienega"

Day 2
• Continental breakfast
• Visit the indian market of Latacunga and the old monastery of Tilipulo
• Lunch and return to Quito in the afternoon

Departure: Every day

Day 1
• Tour leaves from Quito and crosses los Chillos valley
• After we arrive at the control point we visit the Cotopaxi museum and Limpiopungo lake (3800 mts)
• We then continue to the parking lot of Cotopaxi (4500 mts)
• Trek up to the refuge (4800 mts) dinner

Day 2
• In the middle of the night we wake up to have the breakfast
• After 6 hours of climbing we will get to the top of Cotopaxi (5897 mts)
• Return to the refuge and then Quito

Includes: transportation, bilingual mountain guide, personal equipmment, full meals, entrance tickets and lodging in the refuge.
